My Mission
How can I broadcast to my website?
Steven Reviews BeLive and ViLoud
I am on a journey to discover the ways in which we can broadcast live to our websites using Content Delivery Networks.CDNs take the video feed from our broadcasting studio and transmit to destinations we select.
Solesky Melchizedek says ‘Great tutorial. Thanks’
Viloud is efficient, reliable and cost-effective.
There are two sets of software needed to broadcast live on your website.
1 Broadcast Studio
There are many options for this; the studio needs to have at least 1 RTMP output.
Throughout this series of blog posts, I will be using Be.Live. You could use OBS. VMix, Xsplit Broadcaster or one of several other desktop systems.
2 Content Delivery Network
(CDN) All the major news and video broadcasters use Content Delivery Networks to distribute their content on the web.
Until now, publishing to your website has been expensive.
Now Content Delivery Networks are an affordable business expense; prices are falling. We now have access to the tools which enable us to build an audience on our website watching our live and recorded video.
Demonstrated in the Video
1 Creating a Youtube playlist
2 Create a channel on ViLoud and embed the playlist
3 Write a blog post and embed the ViLoud player
4 Go live from BeLive broadcast studio to ViLoud
5 Watch the live broadcast on the blog post.
