The Joy of Amazon.Live, broadcasting from BeLive

Spread the love

Background

My good friend Marco Novo started broadcasting on Amazon.Live earlier this year. He invited me to be his guest on his first live broadcast on the site. As usual, it was a fun experience, and I enjoyed the broadcast.
Marco continued to broadcast successfully on Amazon.Live and encouraged me to apply to broadcast there.

I applied, and my adventure began.

What is an Amazon Influencer?

As a member of the Amazon Influencer Program, you are a content creator who provides recommendations to inspire your audience via social media. However, if you are a media company or a brand and want to drive traffic to Amazon, you should apply to the Amazon Associates Program instead.

How do I qualify for this program?

We accept applications from all types of influencers, provided you have a YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook account. When reviewing your application, we look at the number of followers you have in addition to other engagement metrics

I applied, was qualified and became an Amazon Influencer.

Applying for Amazon Live

To go live on Amazon we need either an iPhone or iPad. I am using an Android mobile phone, so my best option was to purchase an iPad.
Everyone starts their broadcasting life on Amazon as a Rising Star. To advance to the next stage, we need to broadcast live for at least 90 minutes.
The 90 minutes can be a single broadcast or several broadcasts.

Start your Amazon.Live journey here https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=19290333011.

You can apply for the next level Amazon Insider after you have completed the 90 minutes or any time after that.

I was fortunate enough to be joined by Marco Novo on my second broadcast, which was successful and took me through the 90-minute barrier, Marco has been a great help, and I am indebted to him. In addition, Chris Derboven is a very special friend who promoted and supported my Amazon activities. Finally, I applied to upgrade to Insider, which can take up to 10 days.

What makes Amazon.Live Special?

As you have probably gathered by now, I am enjoying my Amazon Live journey immensely.

Before the broadcast, there is the planning element; each broadcast needs to be special, for you have to both retain your following and attract new audiences.

I have created three broadcasts per week< centred around my love of live video, country walking and foreign languages. Each show requires a different approach and preparation.

There is the anticipation before you go live; getting the tech right takes practice.

Whilst you are live, magic can happen, and you can find yourself in the zone talking about your favourite topics.

After the show, there is instant feedback on the show’s performance, and 24 hours later, the financial results arrive.

How to go live on Amazon Live

Having downloaded the iOS app, schedule your first broadcast. We need a title, a cover image and the scheduled date and time.
A broadcast is created on Amazon. You then need to decide how to connect to the broadcast; You can use the camera on your iPhone or Ipad or use external software to send the signal to Amazon.
The external software needs to send an RTMP stream, so OBS or BeLive will work; the Amazon Live software will give you the RTMP URL and stream key.
At the scheduled time, go live on the external software, then go live on your iPhone or iPad; you are now live on your Amazon shop site; you should keep a Chrome tab open so that you can see the comments,
